As many of you know, I am a teacher in addition to being a photographer.  This night, my two worlds collided in the most beautiful glorious fantasmical way when I was HONORED to be chosen to document one of my babies' foray into the almost-adult world.  This absolutely beauty was one of my all-time favorite students to teach and her family is still one of my favorites to capture on camera.  Their love is so palpable, all I have to do is click and I catch one of them loving on the other.  To be here for such a significant moment in their life still makes me mist up.  I wish I could tell you all the stories I share with this young woman and all of her friends.  One of my favorites is when this crew of students threw me a SHOCKING surprise baby shower when I was pregnant with my son.  I can't  help but laugh when I think back to when I arrived late to class only to find my entire class and co-teacher had disappeared.  I was intercepted by my principal, who was in on the secret, and was MORTIFIED to tell him...I lost my class.  Lo and behold, I found them and all their wonderful parents, too for one of the best parties I have ever been given.  Definitely one of the highlights of my career, and even my life.
