One of the best things about photographing weddings is that I get to learn couples' stories.  Not just the couple themselves, but the families.  The history.  The love. The events. The relationships and bonds that collectively brought us to this day when one amazing man promises eternity to one pretty magnificent woman. You may recognize this wonderful couple and their little furry offspring.  I did Fall Portraits for them in 2011 and I never told them this...but the whole time I was taking pictures, I was readying myself for him to pull out an engagement ring.  Sure, he didn't alert me of his plan beforehand, but I didn't mind.  I was at the ready because I knew...one day, this man, woman, and puppy would become one.

Nyah!  Nyah! I was right! 

This love story has a very unique romantic aspect that made me swoon.  Was it the doggy's two besties showing up at the ceremony to see their friend dressed up in her own doggy gown?  The beauty of the bride's gown that was inspired by a  Barbie doll dress she found as a child at a church bazaar?  The fact that this couple's wedding song was serenaded to them by two dear friends?  Nope.  None of that is what I am referring to. I am talking about the fact that the bride, her mother, and her grandmother all share a name. 

Not romantic or unique enough for you?  Well, how about if I told you the bride, her mother, and her grandmother who all share a name, all took their vows

in

the

same

church.

The very altar upon which the bride took her vows is the very same altar her mother and grandmother did the same.  How much more sentimental does it get than that?  Three women, one name, one eternal bond to their loves. 

Sigh...

Now not QUITE as romantic but definitely as entertaining was a certain wedding guest.  He has a history of crashing weddings.  And bachelorette parties; specifically of those of the bride's childhood girlfriends.  Usually he is clothed but not always.  Thankfully he was able to keep it all on this night but rarely was he not into mischief.  Intrigued, are we?  Just keep an eye out for him in the pictures below.  You'll know 'em when you see him.
